Wail of Doom (help in understanding)
Sacrifice 10% Health, and target foe is interrupted. If target foe was attacking, all of that foe's attack skills are disabled for 5...17 seconds.
OK, I get that part, but how do you measure if a foe is attacking? Is that just simply them standing there and hacking or what is "attacking"? Sounds like a noob question, but I understand arcane and skill interruption. I'd assume attacking meant that they had to be performing the normal attack animation. Someone wanna clarify this a little please.... Thanks |

I would assume this to include both utilizing attack skills (being that it's an interrupt) as well as wanding, hacking, etc... Not completely sure though.

I would assume that as well, but not 100% sure.
"Attacking" is so vague of a term. Although casting is attacking, it doesn't disable those skills (from what I can tell) |

Attacking, in Guild Wars terms, refers to using an Attack Skill, or hitting them with your weapon.

So, essentially, I could cast while they're just hacking, and boom, all skills disabled?
Hmmm.. that puts it more in perspective Thanks |

Yeah... mistype.. sorry.
I mean attack skills. That means ranger, assassin or warrior skills are gone. Basically... Lead, offhand, dual, sword, hammer, ax, and bow skills that are listed as "attack" would be disabled. I get that part. Just wasn't sure how "attacking" was defined. Also... Has no effect on monster attack skills (at least, not that I've found). I've tried it against NPC's using "monster skills" like seige turtles and mursaat. Seige attack (turtles) is not affected by it. It's near impossible to classify monster skills since no one can use them. ANet should have a feral class in the future (IMO) that can use monster skills. N E rate.... Yeah, I'm getting a better understanding of this one. Thanks again. |

Hmmm.. I would read it to say all skills whatsoever disabled. The description for blackout, rebirth and focused shot say the same thing and they diasable *all* skills and spells, not just attack skills. This could be pretty tasty if you catch a monk wanding.

Attack doesn't include running so if they move to follow a target at the wrong time it won't take, if they start to cast any signet or skill at the wrong time it won't take.
